China has blocked chinese people from accessing Twitter, Hotmail and Flickr. It happened two days till the 20th anniversary of Tiananmen Square. It was done to prevent excange of information about massacre of student-democracy activists by the army 20 years ago.

As many sources report it was not so clever step, because there are a lot microblogging sites made in China itself which attract many local users. It seems, that there people exchange information including Tiananmen Square theme. Read more detailed article at New Scientist.

I got a few social networking conclusions for today:

1. Everybody talks about Twitter.

2. There are 50 % of people who like Twitter and 50 % who do not like.

3. There are no other social networking websites except Twitter.

4. “I think Twitter’s a success for us when people stop talking about it,” said Twitter executive Jack Dorsey.

5. The worst thing is, that, I think, Jack is right.

Few thoughts about people facing the problem to manage multiple Twitter accounts.

1. I use one account in Twitter. Sometimes I have no time to post something there even for 2-3 days.

2. I can not imagine using two or more accounts. Or you have to live in Twitter.

3. Nevertheless the need in using at one time more than one Twitter account is increasing every day. Many applications try to solve this problem.

4. There can not be a normal man using a few twitter accounts in the world. Or I do not want to meet him.

5. Maybe, you need to manage several accounts, if you use many robots, posting your status updates.

6. But is there any sense using robots for your social networking and for exchange of information?

7. Does anyone like meeting a robot in the cyber space?

Last Friday and this Monday twitter was down for maintenance jobs. It was interesting for me to find tasks Twitter programmers were doing so I searched and found Twitter status blog .

My interest grew and I continued searching for facts about Twitter development. And here I found one interesting interview  with Twitter development team members.

Stweet is a wonderful mashup of Google Street View and Twitter. You may follow tweets choosing a street from different towns. Pete Cashmore from Mashabe asked a good question: “Do I want the world to know what street I’m on?“. Despite any doubts the idea is very interesting.

When Jim Carrey has passed through the artificial sea and has gone out of reality show in the „Truman show” movie, I said – wow, incredible! Communications in Twitter (or let me call Twitter show) look very similar:

a) Open – you can see everyone’s tweets and everybody can see yours;

b) Real – like: everybody is interested to reflect his chosen part (reality) of himself. If not, why most of tweets talk about authority building? And one friend even suggested not adding party photos to a blog, tweet etc. Don’t you build your virtual image?

c) Teaching - if you don’t know something about Twitter, millions of educators will help to get Twitter tips. They will help you if you even don’t need to learn anything about it… Similar to people real relations except that in real world you can choose – to read or not to read. In Twitter show world you read them through by default.

I liked a Burg’s review  and here is one of his conclusions on this article:

Twitter is a mix of SMS, instant messaging, blogging and mind mapping, all to create something truly unique. 

I would like to add – all to create something UNIQUE and look like REAL.

But Twitter has one simple important option forgotten by lots of online businessmen: simple conversation and discussion among users. This let’s all the show become the reality and stops robotic communications.

Virtual communications can give only followers. Mass tweets can give you mass followers. Only real non customised conversation among users can create basic real world connections among people. Later these connections easily become closer to people real relations: business, interests or real respect.

Don’t forget – simply communicate with people!

Our earlier posts were dedicated to mostly prominent online social services: Twitter, Facebook and so on. But when it comes to online business, it’s hard to create right social media strategy because online market is overfilled with profiles and businesses. Though it’s clear that you must SHARE info, you don’t know where to share and what to share.

 Here are suggestions for a fresh online businessman:

- Make a list of favorite RSS feeds and read them every day; make notes and revise them later;

- Comment online blogs and get some worker-type person reputation;

- Don’t forget completely fill Linkedin and Facebook profiles. They show your social and job skills and create strong identity.

- Follow and test new social software and write useful review about what succeeded and what didn’t.
