New Advertising Media

Monday, May 25th, 2009

Internet businessmen are bored by sales through standard PPC services. They start searching for new devices or even for a new type of ad content efficiently delivered to user.

iphoneI saw several future possibilities after analyzing emarketer’s article:

1. New type of ads may  be short and contextual in SMS, MMS ad form. I imagine they could look like shorten links (bit.ly etc.) at the footer of a message. Network service provider could offer discount for users using these links.

2. Mobile radio – very interesting and fresh solution. Podcasts on demand and ubiquitous file sharing are services which can be more adapted to share ads.

3. New gadgets support. When a new network device has no ad support the first adds it the first wins. E.g. iPhone.

Emarketer’s senior analyst says that the reason is that podcast is more for sites who have premium content, but less to everyday citizens with medium auditorium.
