A very simple story happened to me. But I have thought, I had to present it in this blog. You’ll learn how some people imagine SEO and how do they sell their products. Sometimes you can feel like a fellow of the stone age. And Lithuania is not an exception.

1. My hobby is video and audio technologies and I belong to a community called “Elektrik Sketches”. And I have a mailbox associated with this brand name.

2. Yesterday I got an email (spam) to my Elektrik Sketches box directly oriented for video pros. It was in Lithuanian, but I will translate it in English. I tried to preserve style of language and punctuation.  The text of the message was:

“Good afternoon,

we can offer new lamps for video camcorders for professional work, for good quality of video, for shooting in bad conditions. We want to offer new lamps BESCOR-PRO with autonomic batteries.

Versions of power 35w, 50w and 100w
Are you interested?

Sincerely
Vaizdo technika
Tel. 8645 33998″

1. What to do if you are lack of fantasy making a brake through viral video?

2. There is always an alternative – creating parodies of popular videos.

3. The latest example is video in which danish woman is looking for the baby’s father (a controversial video created by danish tourism agency) asking him respond and to come to Denmark. The video recieved 800 000 clicks, since it was posted.

There are two oposite opinions about increasing popularity of your brand name in the internet having a .tel extension. Is it good for SEO or not? As always, we can not find the only answer. This post will try to summerize pluses and minuses of using a domain name of a .tel extension.

Advantages:

1. Many users of .tel service say, that these websites are found by Google after a few weeks of starting using them. Great advantage, but do not we have the same situation with common domains?

1. If you have a budget for your internet marketing campaign, your task is just to distribute money among different ways of advertising. You may hire also addicts for social networking, buy some good video or audio material etc.

2. When you have money, your knowledge about SEO gets limited. The audience for the website is rising, it is ok. But the reasons for this are quite simple: good place of the ad in a popular website and so on. You just analyse which referrers do more and which do not so good as expected.

3. The true knowledge and understanding of SEO needs time. The value of time talking about SEO is really important. You must have a test website and try to attract audience for it without any budget.

2. Sure, there are a few rules to make Google to understand your pages better, but they are not very important.

3. Every website must have treasure, gold mining or other kind of alfa and omega to be interesting, inovative and inspiring.

4. So, we must agree, that SEO is a kind of marketing. The main goal is to seek wider audience.

What are “passed links”? According to AVC passed links are:

1) Email – a passed link sent via email from one friend to another
2) Facebook – a passed link sent from one friend to many friends
3) Twitter – a passed link sent out for anyone who cares to see it

1. An interest in SEO is rising every day.

2. 70-80 % of broker companies ordering SEO are ironical and even defiant about these services.

3. 60-70 % of direct clients are also sceptical about SEO.

4. SEO is mistaken with company’s public relations.

5. SEO is mistaken with publicity compaigns done by advertising agencies.

6. If you can not offer a “real” SEO and social networking compaign for a manufacturer of cement, it means SEO is useless.

7. We are trying a lot in such a context.
