Attention: Your Personal Social Media Content!
We already talked about the importance of your social media activity. The things are more serious than one can imagine. Do you know, that police also watches Youtube videos and reads Twitter feeds? Sure, everybody heard about several cases and today we have a new one.
LA Times reports: “Cyrus Yazdani, a 26-year-old San Jose State graduate, gained a near-cult following after a YouTube video was posted of him vandalizing a sign 20 feet above the busy 101 Freeway. “Buket,” the daredevil tagger who gained Internet notoriety for his brazen, daylight tagging of a sign over the 101 Freeway and vandalism of a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus, was sentenced Thursday to three years and eight months in state prison.” Besides Yazdani will have to pay $117,196 in restitution.
What forces people uploading and posting material discreditable themselves? It is a kind of difficult question. Possible answers and conclusions:
1. To be a famous guy just for a few days becomes more important than whole future of one’s life.
2. Social media is open and nude. You can not hide your personality.
3. Be active social media user only if you are responsible of your behaviour 100%. If you are a kind of sceptic and critical according to society and if you feel a strong tendence to make revolutionary affairs, stay from social media as far as you can.
4. Do not forget, that the same laws and rights that work in real life, stand for people in the internet either.
5. Study publicity reactions and social sciences to understand better, what you can say to a crowd and what must be saved in a small box.
6. Social media is like talking to audience. There are many people in it. People have different habits, opinions, outlooks. They were born in different countries, believe in different gods and all of them need the only thing – respect.
