If you have to spend a couple of hours or even the whole day (save us God!) without Twitter there is a posibility to “burn” your Twitter t-shirt, with a tweet which community likes by woting. The project is called “Twitter Tees by Threadless“. For example, tweet on the t-shirt below is “The message system we didn’t know we needed until we had it.”
Enjoy Twitter where ever you are!

Today www.socialmediatoday.com announced about a launch of a new web firm Cision and it’s product www.journalisttweets.com . This website is dedicated to all journalists on Twitter.

This could mean some nice improvements :
- the directory becomes news channel as Twitter’s developers
- Filtered, professional and intelligent Twitter content
- No more dumb advertising content
- hope to see multilanguage messages
Maybe such directories are the future improvement of all micro and nano instant messengers.

Few thoughts about people facing the problem to manage multiple Twitter accounts.
1. I use one account in Twitter. Sometimes I have no time to post something there even for 2-3 days.
2. I can not imagine using two or more accounts. Or you have to live in Twitter.
3. Nevertheless the need in using at one time more than one Twitter account is increasing every day. Many applications try to solve this problem.
4. There can not be a normal man using a few twitter accounts in the world. Or I do not want to meet him.
5. Maybe, you need to manage several accounts, if you use many robots, posting your status updates.
6. But is there any sense using robots for your social networking and for exchange of information?
7. Does anyone like meeting a robot in the cyber space?

Today I found another animation about Twitter on www.relationship-economy.com .
Thesis: if you are doing something, understand what you are doing
Don’t follow dumb standards, break the law and use own rules.

Social media pro Meg Pickard posted to Flicker an interesting image. It shows bankrupted companies and companies which did a lot in Web 2.0 field recently. As you may see the battle is hard enough. Not all ideas find their place in our lifes. But some of them become widely accepted. Do not give up.

Last Friday and this Monday twitter was down for maintenance jobs. It was interesting for me to find tasks Twitter programmers were doing so I searched and found Twitter status blog .
My interest grew and I continued searching for facts about Twitter development. And here I found one interesting interview with Twitter development team members.
Main facts about Twitter from this article:
- Firstly Twitter was designed to run on Ruby on Rails technology;
- Step by step Twitter team ports services to Java Virtual Machine – based Scala language;
- Developers call Twitter a communication service that allows people to share information in 140 characters or less. Not a social network…
- Twitter started as a hack at a company called ODEO;
- Twitter developers experience very few problems when updating system;
- Developers approved that practice is the way to learn new technologies. When interviewer asked about how begin programming Scala Twitter system engineer answered – just do it.

Today is an historical day. Wall Street Journal anounced the rules, how its staff may act on social media websites. You may read them in Reader & Publisher. The result is typical to the point of view of large organisation, which is conducted by the guys who have never seen Twitter or Facebook. It remembers my working days in one of the largest universities in Lithuania. It was hard to make any intelligent move in making things better, more professional or just fresh.
Wall Street Journal is going on the way of restriction. I hope they have strong assumptions for their position.

As wrote emarketer.com
podcast isn’t the way to the Internet riches. Zenithoptimedia http://www.zenithoptimedia.com wrote that this year US online users will spend 28 million dollars for podcast advertising. Emarketer also announced that this year only 11.9 % of US Internet users will download or stream at least one podcast in a months
Emarketer’s senior analyst says that the reason is that podcast is more for sites who have premium content, but less to everyday citizens with medium auditorium.

Don’t we talk too much about Twitter? Watch as Ford CEO Alan Mullaly pays atention and wastes his valuable time with Twitter. I hope we have a right at least to talk about this social network. Read full story at Scott Monty’s blog.
